Drive

Discover the heart of your bike at cycleXperience - the drivetrain and gear systems. The drive system is essential for any bike and determines how efficiently your power is transmitted to the wheel. Whether you are a professional cyclist, a mountain biker or a recreational cyclist, the right drivetrain components are crucial for performance, comfort and reliability.

At cycleXperience, we understand that each drive system has unique requirements. That's why we offer an extensive range of premium components from trusted brands such as Shimano, SRAM, Specialized and more. Read more about our drivetrain categories:

Cranksets:
The crankset is the connection piece between the pedals and the bottom bracket. It consists of two cranks and chainrings that together provide the drive. A quality crankset efficiently transfers your pedalling power to the chain. Cranksets are available in different lengths and tooth combinations - from lightweight road bike variants to robust mountain bike versions.

Derailleurs:
Derailleurs are the shifting mechanism that moves your chain between different sprockets. Both the front derailleur and rear derailleur work together to give you exactly the right gear. A properly adjusted derailleur ensures smooth, reliable shifts in all conditions.

Chains:
The chain is the connection between crankset and cassette, bringing your pedalling power directly to the rear wheel. A quality chain ensures efficient power transfer with minimal resistance. Chains wear out and need to be replaced regularly - typically after 5,000 to 6,000 kilometres.

Chainrings and Cassettes:
Chainrings are mounted on the crankset and determine your power output. Cassettes on the rear wheel allow you to shift gears differently. Together, these sprockets determine your shifting range - from light sprockets for mountain riding to heavy ones for fast flats.

Pedals:
Pedals are where you have direct contact with your bike. There are three main types: SPD-SL racing pedals for cyclists, SPD click pedals for mountain bikers, and platform pedals for recreational cycling. The right pedals significantly improve your efficiency and comfort.

Shifters:
Shifters are the controls on your handlebars that allow you to shift between gears. They can be integrated into your brake levers or separate levers and twist grips. A responsive shifter ensures fast, reliable shifts.

Drive Accessories:
Complete your drivetrain with essential accessories such as chain filler rings, shifting mechanisms, clamps and much more. These accessories ensure perfect fit and adjustment of your drivetrain.

Why choose quality drive?
A professional drive system offers numerous advantages: efficient power transmission minimises energy loss, precise gearing ensures smooth transitions, durable materials withstand heavy loads, and optimised geometry improves performance and comfort.
