Terms and conditions test bikes

Article 1. Legitimation and payment

- Prior to renting, the tenant must complete and sign the form below. Valid proof of identity (passport, driving licence or ID card) must be shown.
- The rental fee and all other amounts due in respect of the agreement shall be paid in cash or by pin and in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The rental price is determined on the basis of the rates in force with the landlord at the time the lease is entered into, as stated or available for inspection.
- There is a deposit of €100 per bike to be paid, which you will get back when the bike is neatly returned.

Article 2. The rental period

- The rental period is the period located between the days/times of commencement and return as stated on the form below.
- Extension of the rental period can only take place with the landlord's consent and at the applicable (extension) rates.
- Premature or interim return of the bicycle shall terminate the contract without entitlement to a reduction of the rental sum stated in the contract or increased due to extension. There will therefore be no refund of the rental fee.
- The bike and other products must be returned to the Lessor's address no later than the return time specified in the form.
- If original or extended rental period is exceeded by more than 2 hours due to the bicycle not being returned to the Lessor's address on time, the rental shall continue until the bicycle is returned or received by the Lessor at rates referred to in Article 1 plus a penalty of the daily rate for each day the bicycle is returned or received late and without prejudice to any costs and damages to be incurred by the Lessor.


Article 3. Use

- Bicycles are issued in good condition and clean, tenant will check before departure.
- Hirer is at all times responsible for a rented bicycle and must handle it with care and take all precautions against damage, loss or theft.
- The bicycle and other products may only be used in accordance with their normal purpose and must be returned in good condition.
- If the bike is not returned in good condition and clean, the hirer must pay a cleaning fee of €15 per bike.
- All charges and taxes relating to the use of the bicycle shall be borne by the hirer. Likewise, all costs related to its use such as storage, maintenance and repairs shall be borne by him.

Article 4. Liability

- Riders/hirers are at all times responsible and liable for damage to, loss or theft of the bicycles or parts thereof and with regard to damage to third parties, during the breaking-in, test-riding and use of a bicycle and when using other products of the rental company.
- The lessor cannot be held liable for any damage, injury to rider or third parties.
- The lessor shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage, including bodily injury or its consequences, consequential damage and trading loss arising in connection with the use of the bicycle and the lessee shall therefore indemnify the lessor against such damage at all times.
- The landlord cannot be held responsible for the non-occurrence of third-party activities.

Article 5. Prevention of damage and theft

- Bicycles may not be adjusted by the lessee under any circumstances. This may cause damage to derailleur, chain, sprockets, rear wheel and frame.
- Tenant may not allow third parties to ride rented bicycles without the express consent of landlord.
- If tenant allows rented bike(s) to be ridden by non-renters, landlord will deduct at least the deposit as compensation.
- Bicycles should never be left unattended, even if they are locked.
- Flat or broken tyres are always the responsibility of the lessee.
