At 685g, the SL8 is the lightest frame on the World Tour! This is thanks to focusing on aerodynamics and applying the lessons of the Aethos to make the frame itself carry the load, not excess material.
The acceleration and telepathic handling of the Tarmac are the result of a stunning 33% stiffness-to-weight ratio improvement over the SL7. With an increase in compliance of 6%, this provides a smooth ride that is unique in the world of road bikes.
