FINALLY FLEXIBLE: the world's most versatile 120mm bike. WHICH HOBBEL? The new Epic 8 absorbs 12% more shock and vibration than previous models to keep you rested and energised - so you can keep going, while everyone else has to drop out.

TUNED BY RIDE DYNAMICS: the Specialized Ride Dynamics team has developed special dampers for the Epic 8's new shock absorber. Our unique damping characteristics, advised by Ride Dynamics, improve the overall cycling experience. By tuning the dampers in relation to the leverage rates of the chassis and the new kinematics, we have managed to develop a bike that rides better than the sum of all its parts.

BIOMECHANICAL EFFICIENCY: By optimising the kinematics of the suspension, the Ride Dynamics team at Specialized was able to reduce the energy-wasting pedal play with 20%. They kept the active suspension, for the most effective shock absorption, to ensure you stay in the most efficient pedal position. It is the most efficient bike with pedal suspension we have ever tested.

MORE WITH LESS: there is not a gram too much on the Epic 8. All models now feature SWAT 4.0 to store your essentials and an integrated handlebar lock that prevents you from getting the handlebars in your face when you crash. Actually, the new S-Works Epic 8 frame is even lighter (76 grams lighter, to be precise), but it still has these extra features!
