Working towards the lightest bike possible has been a race in competition for years, but at what cost? The battle for grams has certainly not been without casualties, with hardtail XC mountain bikes going for a hard and jerky ride at the expense of capacity and versatility.

But who said the fatigue that comes from fighting your own bike makes you faster? Instead, we recognised that the fastest bike is more than just the lightest bike. The ridiculously capable, comfortable, lightweight and all-round fast Epic Hardtail.

Of course, we optimised every inch of the Epic Hardtail frame to produce the lightest production hardtail frame in the world anyway. But we also prioritised our commitment to create a Epic Hardtail that is as capable as it is comfortable with aggressive singletrack-inspired geometry. Add to that increased tyre clearance and a frame obsessively designed for greater vertical flexibility. And at the same time, a bike that lives and breathes fundamentals.
