GO Electrolyte contains a mix of easily digestible carbohydrates and electrolytes (such as sodium) that promote optimal hydration.
A combination of energy sources and electrolytes improves your body's ability to absorb water during exercise, maintains stamina and protects against cramps. The product is mixed in the right concentrations of carbohydrates (36g as a 6% solution), sodium (20 mmol/L) and water (500ml serving) to achieve the combined goals of energy and hydration.
Both carbohydrate depletion and dehydration are two of the main causes of fatigue in endurance training. A common mistake endurance athletes make is consuming too many or too few carbohydrates in the wrong proportions, causing a lack of carbohydrate absorption or gastrointestinal problems. Besides ensuring optimal carbohydrate storage and hydration status before exercise, administering additional carbohydrates and fluids during exercise is important.
