About cycleXperience
History
cycleXperience is the result of Daphny van den Brand and Johan van de Ven meeting during the 1995 European Mountain Bike Championships in Spinderluv Mlyn, Czech Republic.
When Daphny ended her cycling career in 2012 to make room for the arrival of children, it was a logical step to bring together Daphny's and Johan's experience on and around cycling, in a new project. That was the birth of cycleXperience.
The first bicycle shop was started from the garage in their home. But the garage soon became too small and they had to move to premises on the industrial estate in the village of Zeeland.
Not long after, Daphny and Johan got the offer to take over a bike shop in Uden, which eventually led to cycleXperience moving to Uden. Even this location soon proved too small for cycleXperience's ambitions and success.
A new move to the premises of the former Jan Linders supermarket (on the same street) solved that problem in 2018. And that's where you can find the cycleXperience House of Champions today.
The cycleXperience Team
In a house of and for champions, you can expect to be dealt with by the best and most experienced experts. We are happy to introduce them to you.
Daphny, former world and European cyclo-cross champion, is the ever-enthusiastic and energetic face of cycleXperience. Expert in soft goods with a huge mountain of experience on and around the bike.
Johan, multiple Dutch and Benelux mountain bike champion, is the engine and above all the 'jack of all trades' of our team. Big on good advice and a bikefit specialist who likes to get everyone on their bike properly.
With years of experience on the bike and in the shop, Sten is a sales champion who will calmly and patiently help you find your new acquisition.
Sanne is our marketing and e-commerce champion and a real logistical jack-of-all-trades with an overview who makes sure all the dots are connected.
Laura, multiple Dutch mountain bike champion and our latest addition to the shop. With her knowledge and expertise, she knows how to advise you on the right bike, clothing and accessories!
Roy is our other workshop wonder! Whether it's your new S-Works, your Tarmac, our new shop interior or a chat? Roy makes them!
Floris is the digital brain behind our marketing, e-commerce and social media. With a keen eye for trends and a large dose of creativity, he ensures that cycleXperience is always visible and attractive.
Daan is a true bicycle mechanic with a passion for perfection. Whether it's a quick repair, a thorough servicing or building the very latest models, Daan makes sure every bike leaves the door looking like new again.
About Daphny van den Brand
At cycleXperience, we are naturally very proud of ‘our Daphny‘! After all, our leading lady is one of the figureheads who put women's cyclocross on the map in the Netherlands.
And of course you don't just become 11 times Dutch champion, 4 times European champion AND World cyclocross champion! It takes talent, a lot of determination and, of course, hard work.
